PocketSuite Launches Business Management iPhone App for Independent Professionals and Freelancers

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 22, 2014 PocketSuite today announced the launch of a free new business management iPhone app designed for the fast-growing market of 53 million independent professionals and freelancers across the United States.

PocketSuite is particularly well-suited for on-the-go professionals, such as photographers, dog trainers, hair stylists and house cleaners. PocketSuite helps them give their clients an Uber-like experience, with convenient scheduling, automated payment and streamlined communication. Further, whether their clients come from services like Yelp or Thumbtack, referrals, or direct outreach, PocketSuite seamlessly aggregates them all into a single platform, saving users time and money, and helping them run their business.

The company was founded by Yang Forjindam, one of NetSuite's first engineers, and has received seed-stage funding from multiple members of NetSuite's founding team, including Chief Scientist William Bailey.

"I am proud of the pioneering work we did at NetSuite, bringing mid-size companies cloud-based tools to run their back-office operations," said Forjindam. "Following a recent conversation with my house cleaner, I felt the impact these tools could have on the smallest of companies would be profound. Once I got the idea for PocketSuite in my head, I couldn't shake it. I soon after built a working prototype, and PocketSuite was born." PocketSuite's launch follows a six-month beta period during which time the team honed its core product to solve two key pain points for independent professionals and their customers – late payments and scheduling conflicts.

"Timely payment is critical for any business, but it's particularly acute for the independent professional," said Forjindam. "Furthermore, these microbusinesses are particularly vulnerable to scheduling conflicts, which lead to frustrated customers and lost revenue from no-shows and late cancellations. PocketSuite is the perfect solution to these problems." By leveraging the iPhone's built-in calendar, PocketSuite ensures that the business' schedule is always accurate and up-to-date, and because all appointments are confirmed with a credit card, payments are at once more convenient for the customer and more timely for the business.

About Yang Forjindam PocketSuite founder and CEO Yang Forjindam was among the first engineers at NetSuite, responsible for launching such key products as Ecommerce, CRM and SuiteScript. He was NetSuite's youngest software architect and holds three US patents in enterprise messaging applications. Forjindam co-founded PocketSuite with Sam Madden, and is responsible for engineering and product development. Forjindam earned a BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech University and an MS in Engineering and Smart Product Design from Stanford University.
