National Association of Professional Women Announces Susan K. Nelson, Owner of Third Wind Enterprise, LLC, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 NAPW honors Susan K. Nelson as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest networking organization of professional women in the country, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

"I am two times retired. The first time was after 30 years in the telephone business, providing telecommunications services and products. I rested and caught my second wind. Then, I ventured out and worked for Lockheed Martin at the Pentagon for ten years, still in the telephone business providing services and products for the Air Force in the Washington DC National Capital Region," says Ms. Nelson. "I took a another rest to catch my breath, then started my new venture, Third Wind Enterprise LLC." Ms. Nelson started her first career at The Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company, which later became Bell Atlantic, and then ultimately, Verizon. She worked in the Federal Systems Government Marketing department, where she provided telephone services for the military. She then enjoyed a successful second career upon her retirement from Verizon when she joined Lockheed Martin.

At the aptly titled Third Wind Enterprise, Ms. Nelson is starting an e-commerce internet marketing business and is creating four distinct websites that feature unique home electronic products. "BBQGrillingTime.com and TechToyCorner.com are up and running; I'm still adding products to iHomeTechnoProducts.com and AutomatedHomeRobotics.com," she says. "My vision and goals are to make known products that exist today that aren't familiar to the public. These products will make everyday life easier and less labor intensive. Mainly, I want to provide a pre-built, successful business that will give my descendants future financial security." Also a published author, Ms. Nelson's book Dear Mom and Dad (available on http://www.xlibris.com) is a compilation of letters she wrote to her parents. Her pseudonym is Susan Kessen. "This is a good book for children 10 to 16 years old because it talks about real life experiences that always seem to go awry. It inspired my ten-year-old granddaughter to start writing!" says Ms. Nelson proudly. "That alone makes me already consider myself a successful woman." NAPW's mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, tools and benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
