Dell launches two new tablets at an affordable price [Gulf News (United Arab Emirates)]


(Gulf News (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dubai: Dell is going big with Venue tablets which are thinner and lighter. The company has launched two new models — seven and eight inches — with 4G LTE voice facility at an affordable price.



"We are getting aggressive in the tablet range as the market is experiencing growth more than in computers. We are also going to be aggressive in the price range," Rajat Rallan, senior brand merchandising manager for Dell Middle East, Turkey and Africa, told Gulf News.

Dell is launching the seven-inch Wi-Fi model for Dh399 and 4G LTE (voice calling) model for Dh599, and the eight inch Full HD with 4G LTE model for Dh799.


He said the new Venue tablets feature an easy-grip design on the back, and both are available in red or black.

The 8-inch tablets are powered by dual-core 2 GHz Intel Atom processors and runs on Android KitKat operating system. It has 1GB RAM, 16GB storage capacity, 2MP front camera and 5MP back camera.

Dell aims to offer value-added features to customers by optimising its hardware and software features.

The audio Technology is powered by Waves MAXXAudio Pro to ensure good sound quality.

"We are very optimistic and we are bringing in more volumes as Eid Al Adha is coinciding with the Shopper," Rallan said.
