Nutritional Society of Nigeria Endorses Grand Pure Soya Oil

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Grand Pure Soya Oil, a leading edible cooking oil in the Nigerian market has received endorsement from yet another professional body, the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) for its quality nutrition. This is coming in the wake of the recent endorsement by the Nigerian Heart Foundation (NHF) which was confirmed after a series of analyses, and facility visit by the society to the company's plant.

Speaking at the certificate presentation, the Marketing Manager, Mr. Tope Banjo commended the body for her steadfastness in promoting the well-being of Nigerians through continued dietetic/nutrition research and healthy-living advocacy. He however used the forum to educate consumers on the sources and types of vegetable cooking oils saying that bad oils with saturated fatty acids do congeal at low temperatures and may also inhibit the absorption of some vitamins and nutrients.

He urged consumers to be wary of so called 'heart-friendly' oils that have flooded the Nigerian market by checking for the source of their cooking oil on the labels, stating that most of them are made from Palm Oil (Olein) which is not as healthy as Soya Oil.

He also said that Grand Pure Soya Oil is made from carefully selected Soya bean seeds which neither foams nor fumes, does not congeal or 'sleep' even at very low temperatures.

He says"It is cholesterol free making it an ideal choice for individuals that are health-conscious".

The brand is a quality product from Grand Cereals Ltd a subsidiary of UAC Nigeria Plc. The company parades leading brands and has been at the forefront of promoting wellness by offering excellent value to consumers.
