BRIEF: E-waste recycling event scheduled in Tracy [The Record, Stockton, Calif.]


(Record (Stockton, CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sept. 29--TRACY -- A free electronic waste recycling event is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Public Works, Boyd Service Center, 520 Tracy Boulevard, Gate No. 1.

Among the items that will be accepted are electronics such as TVs, monitors, computers, printers, cellphones and small countertop microwaves; up to fluorescent bulbs per household or business; household batteries; mercury items, such as old thermometers and thermostats; cardboard; clean, white No. 6 polystyrene block foam packaging; holiday lights.



Among items that will not be accepted: packing peanuts; bubble wrap; food or beverage containers; major appliances; automotive batteries.

Anyone with more than 20 electronic devices should call Onsite Electronic Recycling at (209) 234-7994 to make arrangements for bulk collection.
