(Western Morning News (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Truro-based resort management specialists Escape UK Ltd has appointed Blue Chip Holidays, the South West's largest supplier of fourand five-star self catering properties, as sole agent for Una St Ives, its new Pounds 16 million holiday resort.

The five-star resort, based in Carbis Bay new St Ives, will comprise 123 properties, providing a choice of one, two, three and fourbedroom properties to rent.

The site is currently nearing the completion of phase one, which comprises 29 high-end holiday homes. This will be followed by work on the 42 properties that form part of phase two, which is currently ahead of schedule, following huge demand from investors.

Allan Lambert, managing director of Blue Chip Holidays, said: "Una St Ives is an innovative concept in resort holidays and ownership, and as a concept we believe it is unrivalled. "A combination of the highest standards in self catering accommodation, first class facilities, and a Resort team focussed on service will ensure that Una St Ives soon becomes recognised as 'the' must visit Resort. Billed as one of the most luxurious and desirable holiday home resorts in the country, Una St Ives is set to offer guests high- end self catering breaks with the standards and service of a destination hotel. The cluster of holiday homes will have their own destination restaurant, run by locally renowned Cornish chef Arty Williams of The Cove at St Ives.

Guests will be able to purchase locally sourced food from the on- site deli. Spas facilities will include a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms where therapists will use only 100% organic ingredients made in Cornwall by Spiezia Organics.

There will be a 15-metre infinity pool, a fitness suite, a tennis court, a bar and a concierge service offering tailored outings, sourcing trips and itineraries of activities.

In addition to a bike and board store, Una St Ives will provide regular eco-bus transport to key locations, helping customers to relax without the need for their car. Mr Lambert said: "St Ives is one of the UK's leading holiday destinations, partly because of its awardwinning beaches, but also because of its international reputation as both a creative and cultural centre.

"The addition of Una St Ives ensures that guests and friends from all over the world will be able to book exceptional properties with exceptional service in one of Cornwall's most beautiful locations. "We're anticipating high demand for Una St. Ives, which welcomes its first guests from Easter 2015." Damian Sargent, operations consultant to Escape UK Ltd, said: "Our goal is to create the UK's premier five-star holiday community.

"To do this we have chosen to work with market leading partners throughout the course of the project, and it is for this reason that we have chosen to work with Blue Chip Holidays. "Together, we aim to offer our guests an unrivalled holiday experience and our holiday home owners an impressive return on their investment." Sam Wrigglesworth, Head of Product Development at Blue Chip Holidays, added: "When we discovered Una St Ives, it was clear that we were on to something really special. Its potential to own the four and five-star resort market is unrivalled, even by the long established regional and national players. "The owners of the resort have a wealth of experience in this sector, and this has really shone through in the resort layout, service offing and operating model - it's simply outstanding, and we're extremely proud to be working with them promoting their properties in the holiday rentals market."
