Mayor Patricia de Lille said the agreement represented what the city was trying to achieve with its external relations policy. It would look to share best-practice approaches with other African cities, and also draw from their experience and solutions. The agreement would strengthen ties in the areas of human settlements, information technology management, social development and solid-waste management.
