(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- The Alliance to Save Energy issued the following news release: The Alliance to Save Energy (Alliance) unanimously confirmed two new members, Gil C. Quiniones (http://ase.org/biography/gil-quiniones) and Clinton A. Vince (http://ase.org/biography/clinton-vince), to serve on the Board of Directors effective today. Mr. Quiniones is the President and Chief Executive Officer of New York Power Authority (http://ase.org/profile/new-york-power-authority) (NYPA) and Mr. Vince is a Partner of Dentons' (http://www.dentons.com/) Energy Sector. The two newly elected Directors join members of Congress and industry executives from a wide range of sectors currently serving (http://ase.org/about/leadership/board) on the board.

"Mr. Quiniones and Mr. Vince will provide depth and breadth of knowledge to Alliance's Board of Directors. Hearing Mr. Quiniones express his passion for efficiency during our most recent Energy 2030 On the Road stop in New York reinforced my belief that he will provide invaluable leadership, and Mr. Vince's generosity in providing legal counsel pro-bono shows his true commitment to our cause and to our organization," said Kateri Callahan, president of the Alliance to Save Energy.

NYPA is the country's largest state public power organization, with 16 generating facilities producing some of the lowest cost electricity in North America. Mr. Quiniones has led NYPA in promoting energy efficiency since he was confirmed as President and CEO in January 2012. Mr. Quiniones is also a member of the Electric Power Research Institute's (http://ase.org/profile/electric-power-research-institute-epri) Board of Directors, serving as the Chair of the Committee on Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage and Smart Grid.

"I look forward to working with fellow efficiency advocates on the Alliance to Save Energy's Board and I'm eager to expand my relationship with the organization while engaging with its leadership to move efficiency issues forward," said Quiniones of his new position.

Mr. Vince has more than 35 years of experience serving energy industry clients for Dentons' Energy Sector and is known for his cutting-edge solutions to client problems. He recently completed a two-year term as co-chair of the Keystone Center, a think tank widely recognized for its work in energy and environmental policy. "I'm honored to have the opportunity to provide my support to the Alliance and be a part of the organization's mission to maximize the potential of efficiency and the benefits it offers," said Vince.
