BRIEF: Crosbyton educator elected to statewide school board [Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Texas]


(Lubbock Avalanche-Journal (TX) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 11--The Texas Association of School Boards elected a Crosbyton educator to a one-year term on the association's board of directors.

Kay Alley of Crosbyton Consolidated Independent School District will represent TASB Region 17, according to a news release.

Alley has been on the Crosbyton Consolidated ISD board since 1997, having served as president and secretary. She is currently vice president of the CCISD board.




"TASB is a nonprofit association established in 1949 to serve local public school districts," the release states. "School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve approximately 5 million students."
