Capella University Dean to Speak at Analytics 2014 ConferenceMINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Sue Talley, EdD, Capella University's (News - Alert) dean of technology, has been selected to speak at the prestigious Analytics 2014 Conference, held this year on October 20-21, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Capella University is a regionally accredited online university* that offers online degree programs designed to help working adults advance in their careers. The conferences attract data professionals and managers from all major industries. Last year's event drew nearly 1,000 attendees. Dr. Talley's session, "IT Skills Gap: Where are all the women?," focuses on the lack of females in the IT workforce and the role of higher education in attracting and retaining women. She will also lead a roundtable discussion on "Talent Development - Women in Analytics" at Analytics 2014 and revisit the topic at a workforce panel at SAS's Premier Business Leadership Series in Las Vegas on October 21-23, 2014. "We're pleased to present industry experts and thought leaders such as Dr. Talley at Analytics 2014," said Jerry L. Oglesby, PhD, co-chair of the Analytics Conference and senior director of Global Academic Program and Global Certification, Education Division for SAS. "We consider our speakers the best and brightest at what they do, which is why these conferences have become the first choice of data analysts who want to learn best practices and new ideas in the field."
