BRIEF: Rock Hill woman accused of lying to police about burglary, stolen Xbox [The Herald (Rock Hill, S.C.)]

(Herald (Rock Hill, SC) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 17--A Rock Hill woman is accused of lying to police earlier this month when she claimed she saw two people running away from her home after stealing an Xbox.

Officers arrested the woman on Thursday after investigators learned that the alleged home break-in didn't happen. Kimberly Wilson, 21, of Rock Hill has been charged with filing a false police report on Oct. 1, according to police records.

Authorities say Wilson initially claimed that she saw two people wearing dark clothes leave her apartment on Brookview Court. She told officers then that she was returning home from the grocery store when she saw the people running away.

Wilson told police that she noticed her $350 Xbox Connect game console missing, according to a police report.
