Barnes & Noble and NOOK® Announce the 1st Annual Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards


NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) and NOOK Media LLC, today announced the 1st Annual Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards, a unique opportunity for readers to vote for their favorite newsstand content and discover great magazines. From October 20, through November 19, readers can vote for their favorite content from a select list of categories at www.nook.com/readerschoice. Each category has four nominees to choose from and all nominated content will be available to be read for free online with a dedicated reading experience that is optimized for PCs, tablets and smartphones. Nominated content can also be shared with friends and family via Facebook (News - Alert), Twitter, Pinterest and more. The categories for the 2014 Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards are as follows:

The nominees will receive a special in-store promotional display at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide for the print edition during the open voting period, as well as other digital promotion.
