India : ADOBE partners with INDIAN IT companies to build industry-specific design solutions [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) U.S.-based computer software company Adobe is partnering with Indian IT companies Wipro, TCS and Cognizant, to build industry-specific design solutions.

The US company is trying to boost its revenues in India, a country which has been a tough nut for it to crack.

Senior vice president David Wadhwan, said Adobe is taking a "solutions selling" approach in India.

He said : "So, instead of going in and simply selling our technology, we are working with the resellers to create solutions op portunities that are very targeted to the businesses that are being done, businesses and industries that are evolving in India." In terms of people it staffs, India is the second-largest market for the Adobe. It is also a major research and development (IR&D) center for the US company.

Wadhwani said : "But in terms of revenue, India is a market that has been historically difficult to crack." He added : "I am very hopeful that while it has taken us a little time to crack India as a consumption market, as a market of significance, we are now starting to see some real growth and I'm quite confident it's going to take off."
