Oil&Gas Middle East Awards winners revealed [ArabianOilandGas.com](ArabianOilandGas.com Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Oil&Gas Middle East and Refining & Petrochemical Middle East Awards 2014 winners were announced at a sparking industry evening in Abu Dhabi last night. More than 150 industry professionals attended the gala dinner at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf & Spa resort. Bard Jafar, president of Crescent Petroleum was named as the Energy Executive of the Year, while the Outstanding Female Achiever Award went to Fatima Mustafa Mohmoud from Maersk Oil Qatar. The full list of winners was as follows: • HSE Initiative of the Year: Al Masoori – Specialised Engineering. • Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year: Equate – Partners in Success • Oil Field Services Project of the Year: Megarme Inspection & Engineering, Upper Zakum • New Gas Project of the Year: Barzan Offshore Natural Gas Project – Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil Barzan Limited • New Oil Project of the Year: Upper Zakum – ZADCO • Technical Innovation of the Year: Saudi Aramco – A-Dots Research Programme • Localisation Strategy of the Year: Equate • Project Supervisor of the Year: Kamal Mokhtar Abdelaty, ADMA OPCO • Maintenance Manager of the Year: Louis Nicholson, Ramis Engineering • Production Manager of the Year: Adnan A Al-Kanaan, Saudi Aramco • Outstanding Female Achiever of the Year: Fatima Mustafa Mohmoud, Maersk Oil Qatar • Energy Executive of the Year: Badr Jafar, Crescent Petroleum H.E. Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman of Drydocks World, was one of the awards judges, and said it was important to recognise the positive work being carried out in the Middle East. "Individuals, teams and organisations deserve to be recognised for what they are doing. What they are doing at their companies is a positive for the whole industry in the region," he said. "One of the things I like is that it drives competition; people and companies enjoy recognition and if that helps drive new initiatives and developments, then that is a positive. "Success breeds success and helps ensure that the industry is always looking to improve."
