4imprint Full Year Expectations Underpinned By Strong Third Quarter

(Alliance News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LONDON (Alliance News) - Promotional products company 4imprint Group PLC said Friday that strong growth in the third quarter to September 27 has put it ahead of its expectations, underpinning its expectations for a "good result" for the year.

4imprint has opted to present its statements in US dollars, starting with its full year results to be reported in March next year, due to a substantial proportion of its earnings being made in US dollars. Its dividends will be determined in US dollars and paid in sterling at the exchange rate at the time the dividend is determined, it said.

The company said its third quarter revenue, including delivery receipts and excluding discontinued operations, was GBP66.1 million, up 16% on the previous year. This took its revenue for the nine months to GBP181.8 million, 15% ahead of the previous year.

North American revenue in US dollars was up 25%, while revenue rose 27% at its UK Direct Marketing business.

4imprint said that, similar to its first half, growth was driven by an increase in marketing spend compared to the previous year, as it enhanced its online marketing.

Orders received from existing customers, compared to the previous year, rose 25% in the third quarter and 22% for the nine months. Orders from new customers also rose by the same levels.

At the end of its third quarter, 4imprint had net cash of GBP7.8 million, compared with GBP26.1 million as at June 28, after it contributed GBP13.7 million to its pension scheme.

Shares in 4imprint are trading up 5.7% at 727.00 pence Friday morning.
