BRIEF: Kingsburg new business competition is open [The Fresno Bee]


(Fresno Bee, The (CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 25--The Launching Pad competition is accepting applications for new businesses interested in opening in Kingsburg. The winner will receive $25,000 worth of business goods and services and help starting the business.



Applications are due Dec. 1 and are available online at www.cityofkingsburg-ca.gov (scroll down to the bottom of the main page).

This is the second such competition hosted by the City of Kingsburg Economic Development Committee and is designed to help people who have business ideas but need help turning it into reality. Semifinalists will receive help in preparing business plans and finalists will present to a panel of judges at the Swedish Festival next May.


Winners will get help starting their business plus donated business services including payroll, printing and accounting services, business cards and a free membership to the Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce for a year.
