Eager buyers pick properties off plan [Newcastle Journal (England)]

(Newcastle Journal (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) AHOUSE builder is reporting a very strong start to sales at its new development in North Tyneside, with a third of homes sold off plan since the first phase of properties were released in August.

When complete, The Coppice development, on Forest Gate, Palmersville, will have 61 three and four-bedroom family homes.

Prices for homes available for sale at the development, by Bett Homes, start from Pounds 204,995.

Bett Homes' sales and marketing director Lawrence McGeehan said: "We are delighted with how popular The Coppice has been with homebuyers in the area.

"The collection of thoughtfullydesigned properties available at the development have certainly been attracting a wide range of discerning buyers, all of whom are looking for something special in a new home.

"The Coppice's enviable location close to great amenities and good schools also appeals to buyers along with Bett Homes' superior specification, which is offered in all homes as standard - something you won't find with other developers." Bett Homes undertook extensive market research and studied home living trends to enable it to develop the selection of properties at The Coppice, clearly setting them apart from the competition.

The versatile new properties have each been designed to reflect how people live today ranging from the creative and flexible use of space within the properties to the type of specification provided.

Bett say that the result is a collection of homes with an internal specification that is extremely stylish and includes many items highlighted by those in the market looking to purchase a new home.

Properties have fitted kitchens by Manhattan, which are intelligently arranged featuring soft-close doors and integrated appliances along with kitchen units that offer innovative additional storage space as required by today's modern lifestyles.

Bathrooms have wall hung sanitaryware and double ended baths with concealed bath fillers. En suites now offer contemporary showers with low profile enclosures as well as useful storage solutions, chrome-heated towel rails and full height tiling by Porcelanosa.

There is a choice of internal doors throughout the homes, which are complemented by Italian-designed door furniture, while master bedrooms also offer a choice of contemporary fitted wardrobes that have sliding doors to maximise space and storage.

One of the homes available at the development is the Lauriston on Plot 59.

This three-bedroom home is priced at Pounds 204,995 and would suit a wide range of buyers. The plot is also available to purchase using the Government -backed Help to Buy scheme for Pounds 163,996 and a deposit of Pounds 10,250 and also comes with stamp duty paid for a limited time only.

With Help to Buy, homebuyers secure a mortgage for at least 75% of the property value and pay a deposit of just 5% of the purchase price.

The remaining 20% is paid for by the Government through an equity loan that is interest-free for the first five years.

Help to Buy equity loans are open to both first-time buyers and second-time home movers.

The ground floor of the Lauriston has a flexible layout with good space for cooking, dining and relaxing.

The designer Manhattan kitchen has integrated appliances and comes in a wide choice of finishes and colours.

The welcoming living area flows out into the garden through large bi-fold doors, bringing the outdoors in and creating an overwhelming feeling of space.

Upstairs there are three goodsized bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has an en suite and a fitted sliding door wardrobe system to maximise storage.

The family bathroom has a contemporary "floating" bathroom suite and is finished with Porcelanosa tiles, with a wide range of shades, patterns and textures to select from.

Lawrence added: "Our specification has been created in direct response to homebuyers needs and we are very proud of that.

"Buyers can expect wall to wall quality and homes with a real wow factor at The Coppice and I'd encourage anyone looking to purchase a home in the area to visit our marketing suite." The Coppice is in Palmersville, close to Benton and Forest Hall and just six miles north of Newcastle, with good roads links due to the proximity of the A19.
