Santa's message to the Scunthorpe Lions [Grimsby Telegraph (UK)](Grimsby Telegraph (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SANTA really does know that October is too early to talk about Christmas, but he's been reading on the world wide web about the Lions' rose arbour and the reference to his grotto. Scunthorpe Lions have received an e-mail from Santa telling us he will be having his grotto in Scunthorpe's Parishes Shopping Centre every Saturday and Sunday from November 22 until Christmas. He's looking forward to seeing all his visitors, especially those he's seen before. And, with reference to the arbour, Scunthorpe Lions thank the Telegraph for the coverage given for our 50 years and the hand-over to the council. May I mention that the photograph referred to "Scunthorpe Lions, with construction workers and civic guests". Those who provided the materials, built the construction and did the ground work were represented but not in the picture. Here is my photo (below) showing the civic guests and those to whom we are very grateful - and no Lions.
