Johnson & Quin Adds to Color Digital Capabilities

NILES, Ill. --(Business Wire)--

Johnson & Quin, Inc., a recognized name in full-service direct mail production and integrated marketing solutions, has recently expanded their color variable print and finishing options by installing a Xerox® iGen4® press and a Tec Lighting TruCoat Autofeed high speed production UV coater.

This equipment is in addition to the recent installation of a Screen Trupress high-speed color inkjet press and provides Johnson & Quin clients with a range of high quality color variable capabilities for their direct mail campaigns.

The Xerox iGen4 prints high-end, personalized direct marketing pieces that can speak one to one to customers and prospects, increasing response rates and campaign success. The iGen4 delivers exceptional image quality and color consistency with 600 x 4800 dpi. The maximum sheet size is 14.33 x 22.5 inches allowing efficient production of letters, self-mailers and postcards. It can also print on up to 18 pt stock for pieces that will stand out in the mail.

"Many of our clients are looking for high quality print of their postcards and self-mailers, along with the ability to produce multiple versions with a high level of personalization. The ability to run all versions in one production run provides production efficiencies which ultimately reduces postage costs and shortens the time for mail to arrive in-home," said David Henkel, president.

A Tech Lighting UV Coater was added to enhance th digitally printed color images and protect postcards and self-mailers as they travel through the postal system. The coater produces a durable, high-quality finish that protects and enhances the life of documents. Both gloss and satin finishes are available.

The iGen and UV coater devices join the Screen Trupress high-speed color inkjet printing system that prints direct mail letters and forms with outstanding quality and speed for efficient large quantity production. Color inkjet reduces postage costs by combining multiple versions in one production run, shortens timeframes from data to mail, provides unlimited versioning and customization - all with quality comparable to traditional offset printing and monochrome laser personalization.

"Johnson & Quin has been producing variable print direct mail since the late 1970's by offset printing the color preprinted forms and personalizing with continuous, cutsheet and inkjet equipment," said Bob Arkema, executive vice president. "The recent additions of both a high-speed color inkjet press and a high quality color digital printer provide the flexibility for our clients to produce small to large direct mail projects with exceptional quality, unlimited personalization and cost savings. We are excited to work with each client to determine how we can help improve the return on marketing investment for their direct mail programs by utilizing these color technologies."

Johnson & Quin specializes in producing personalized direct mail programs for clients nationwide in a variety of industries. Both the Screen Trupress Color Inkjet and the Xerox iGen presses allow customization of each direct mail piece based on the person's interests, purchasing history, age, geography and other relevant data. This allows marketers to truly target the message to each recipient with photos, images, offers and more pulled into each direct mail piece.
