Second Annual Feit 4 KidZ Gala Benefit Dinner Raises More Than $350,000 for Interest-Free In Vitro Fertilization Loans to the Community

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

The Jewish Free Loan Association's Second Annual Feit 4 KidZ Gala Benefit Dinner raised more than a quarter of a million dollars on Saturday, November 15th, 2014, with all proceeds from the event going directly to help Los Angeles-based couples pay for in vitro fertilization and other fertility procedure bills.

Nearly 350 guests attended the event, which was held at The Luxe Hotel on Sunset Boulevard and featured live music and dancing, a silent auction, live auction, appetizers, cocktails, and a photo-booth. The dinner program featured presentations by the Feit family and a special video featuring the personal stories of JFLA clients who struggled with infertility and were ultimately able to successfully conceive using money from the loan fund to pay for their fertility treatments.

Te Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan Fund was established in 2013, when local couple Alan and Emily Feit partnered with the Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA) to create an interest-free loan fund, which addresses the needs of Jewish couples in Southern California struggling with in vitro fertilization bills and expenses by providing them with interest-free loans of up to $15,000. According to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the average cost of an IVF cycle in the United States is $12,400. To date, the Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan Fund and the two gala benefit dinners have raised nearly a million dollars in total, enabling JFLA to continue issuing interest-free loans for families dealing with this particular financial challenge.

The Jewish Free Loan Association is a nonprofit agency offering assistance to people of all faiths facing financial challenges. For more than 100 years, JFLA has provided a helping hand instead of a handout to hundreds of thousands of people through interest-free loans for emergencies, education, developing small businesses, healthcare and life cycle events. JFLA is a source of economic justice in the community, providing cash in hand to empower borrowers and promote self-sufficiency.
