Kate Ferro Joins Kaufman Lynn Construction Leadership TeamBOCA RATON, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Kaufman Lynn Construction announced that Kate Ferro has joined the company as General Counsel and newest member of the senior leadership team. In addition to managing the corporate insurance and risk programs, Ms. Ferro reviews and negotiates contracts and joint venture agreements and is the liaison with outside counsel. Ferro earned her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School. She also attended the University of California at Berkley where she earned a degree in English. She is a certified Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and brings 13 years of highly related legal experience to her current role. Prior to joining Kaufman Lynn Construction, Ferro was the Assistant General Counsel for Structure Tone Inc., a global construction management firm based in New York. She had previously represented the firm and subcontractors in construction defect claims in her role as shareholder of South Florida based Fowler White Burnett. Ferro has extensive experience reviewing technical construction documents and participation with clients at job-site inspections, destructive testing and development of remediation protocols. As the Senior Litigation Specialist with AIG Domestic Claims, Inc. Ferro handled approximately one hundred of the highest exposure general liability claims for the Southeast United States for the global insurer.
