"The Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation is thankful for the immense support and generous contributions of our business partners who enable us to provide these funds to local organizations who share our mission of alleviating hunger in our communities," said Mary Kellmanson, foundation president and chief marketing officer of Bi-Lo Holdings. "As food and togetherness are at the core of everything we do, we strive to support those who may be food insecure so that they may enjoy this holiday season."

Grants were awarded from Oct.-Nov. 2014 to charitable organizations with missions to address hunger and hunger-related health and education issues. The foundation reviewed applications from hundreds of nonprofit groups and conducted in-depth reviews of their services and reach within each community.
