Voice Over Directory Casts Over 900 Jobs as Industry Moves Online in January

NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Voice over website, The Voice Realm paid out over $100,000 worth of voice acting jobs during January, as the industry continues to shift online, with technology allowing for faster bookings and less production costs.

In what is typically a slow month for the industry, the site bucked the trend and delivered on its promise of connecting voice over talent with anyone needing a professional voice recording.

Gone are the days of needing to hire a voice actor through an agency in NYC, LA or Chicago. Add onto that casting director fees, studio rental time and other costs. The site has streamlined the process, allowing anyone to employ freelance voice talent services at affordable rates.

The Voice Realm's marketing manager Robert James says that the site has allowed for a major shift in the industry that shows no signs of slowing down. "We have seen bookings continue to rise month on month. For example, now mom and pop with small business in Charlotte, North Carolina can get the same professional greeting on their phone as a Fortune 500 company in New York."

Andrew Scheirer used the site's service to hire a voice for his wealth management company's voicemail. "I couldn't believe I had a professional actor who does work with Revlon and the BBC record my voice mail messages for such a nominal cost. Every day I hear the positive feedback from clients and prospects."

Applications that utilize voice overs include computer games, e-learning courses, radio and television commercials, mobile applications, audiobook narrators, and animations.

The Voice Realm attributes much of their success to having strict standards that are applied to their stable of voice actors. With roughly only one in every ten applications being approved. Mr. James explained further, "We only present clients with the best of the best. Every voice talent on our roster has had years of experience, an impressive client list, and professional broadcast quality recording equipment."

A growing selection of languages, accents and dialects can be found at the website, ranging from British to Chinese, Spanish, American, Mid-Atlantic, French, German, Chinese and more.

One of the fastest growing features of The Voice Realm is the Casting and Audition Notice application. This allows the client's script to go to many voice talents who then record a custom demo and upload it back onto the site. The customer returns an hour later and can listen to the recordings, and select the one they like best.

The site expects to continue to grow voice over work for talent through 2015 and plans to continue its expansion through Asia and Europe.
