Hoosier Academies to Begin 8th School Year Serving Indiana Students Statewide


INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hoosier Academies (HA), a tuition-free public charter school that offers online and blending learning programs, welcomes new and returning students for the 2015-2016 academic year, which begins August 17. Now entering its 8th year of serving students across the state of Indiana, HA takes an individualized approach to learning by combining online instruction and hands-on curriculum with the support of Indiana-certified teachers and an active school community.

Hoosier Academies will host back-to-school events in Fort Wayne and Gary.  On Monday, August 10, Dr. Ernest will throw the first pitch at the SouthShore RailCats game in Gary, Ind., after the Hoosier Academies back-to-school expo at the U.S. Steel Yard, the RailCats' top minor league baseball facility. Enrollments are still being accepted and families who are interested in Hoosier are invited to attend and learn more from teachers, students and parents. Hoosier Academies serves students in grades K through 12, though it is currently only enrolling new students in grades K-11 for the upcoming 2015-16 school year.



Hoosier Academies strives to help students discover their individual learning style. Hoosier provides a rigorous and engaging curriculum, including core courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, art and physical education/wellness, as well as elective and Advanced Placement® courses for high school students. High school courses are offered in multiple versions in order to meet the needs of diverse learners with diverse goals.
