Clune Construction And Moshiri Associates Complete JustFab's Stylish New El Segundo Headquarters

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Clune Construction and Moshiri Associates, Inc. are pleased to announce the firms have completed JustFab's new 110,000 SF El Segundo headquarters. The project team included Clune Construction, Moshiri Associates Inc. and JLL.

Unique Headquarters for a Rapidly Growing Innovator in Fashion and E-Commerce

JustFab is a leading fashion e-commerce company and lifestyle brand offering an engaging and personalized shopping experience to over 35 million members worldwide. The company has capitalized on the growth of "Fast Fashion," a new industry model that is changing the US fashion market and driving new ways for designers to work.

The project team set out to build a 120,000-square-foot work environment that showcased JustFab's winning usiness model and reflected the firm's high-energy brand and unique start-up culture. Moshiri Associates Director of Design Alexis Dennis noted, "This was an exciting and challenging project for our team. In order to fit all of the desired functions under one roof we needed to integrate a wide range of components currently located throughout the greater Los Angeles area."

Promoting Collaboration with a Custom Work Environment

The El Segundo location originally consisted of old aerospace & defense contractor facilities built in the late '70s that had been sitting vacant for many years. The landlord, SSV Properties, had a vision to transform the buildings to create next-gen office space for the 21st century tenant that fosters JustFab's activity-based workstyle. Moshiri Associates designed a new space with an open floor plan to promote collaboration. The Moshiri team designed custom storage units float between the workstations to house shoes, apparel and accessories as well as built-in storage for design tools.

Generating Cost Savings with In-house Video and Photo Studios

Clune Construction built a large production studio area for JustFab, which includes five dedicated video and photo studios. By including studios, JustFab can produce all commercials in-house, allowing for substantial cost-savings and tighter brand control. Darrin Craig, the Project Executive from Clune Construction added, "The studio area introduced some tough logistical challenges—we relied on our corporate headquarters experience to see us through these. It was a pleasure to work with Moshiri's seasoned and professional design team on this one-of-a-kind project."
