Switch Launches Cloud-based Business Phone Integration for Microsoft Office 365

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Switch Communications announced that Switch has launched its cloud-based phone system for Microsoft Office 365 users. Switch is now also available to companies on any productivity suite, as well as offering deep integrations with both Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps.

Switch for Office 365 is designed to accelerate employee productivity, providing context around business communications through integrations with Outlook mail, Outlook calendar and LinkedIn. Office 365 users will be able to log in with their Microsoft credentials, have their Outlook contacts instantly synced, have their calendar and email integrated so they can see the most recent shared emails and appointments when on a Switch call, and have instant access to the always current corporate directory. As easy to set up and administer for enterprises as for SMBs, Switch takes the headache out of managing a business phone system, and gives the end-user control over how and where they have use of their business line.

"Work is a thing you do, not a place you go. We understand the value of mobility and gving people control over the tools they need to be productive, and Switch is designed with them in mind," said Craig Walker, CEO of Switch Communications. "Regardless of productivity suite, platform or size -- your business can be an enterprise or a three-person shop -- with Switch your phone system and your experience is and should be the same: easy-to-use, scalable and with the flexibility of a true cloud service."

According to a 2015 Bitglass report, small business cloud adoption of Google Apps (22.8%) and Microsoft's Office 365 (21.4%) is growing steadily, while enterprise cloud penetration is soaring for both Google Apps (21.9%) and Microsoft (34.3%), with 2015 growth over 2014 at 133% and 285% respectively.

With the rapid adoption of cloud services, the phone system employees rely on to conduct their daily business should be as flexible as their cloud-based productivity suites. Switch makes this possible and at a fraction of the cost of legacy or first generation cloud-based phone systems. Switch is available at $15 per user per month.
