NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 14, the New York Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference (NYMJCSC) will hold its 2nd annual cybersecurity conference at the Microsoft Technology Center, 11 Times Square in NYC.  The NYMJCSC is a collaborative event cooperatively developed, organized and sponsored by the leading information security industry organizations and chapters:  – ACFE, ISACA, ISSA, (ISC)², InfraGard, HTCIA, and OWASP.

Opening keynote address by Tim Rains, Microsoft's Chief Security Advisor for WW Cybersecurity & Data Protection, followed with a keynote by Ron Ross, Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In addition to the 2 keynotes, the agenda offers 16 sessions over 4 topic tracks, as well as a CISO panel.  Seating is limited.

As a non-profit conference, NYMJCSC 2015 aims to provide participating organizations' members and the public an educational opportunity with breakfast, lunch, and reception includd! Over 20 hours of learning from the track sessions. We will have experts from the following disciplines and topics: Emerging News and Trends for Security, including Windows 10 security; Audit / Legal – Data Classification, Litigation and Legislation that affect your Cyber Risk posture, a panel discussion with CISOs; Application Security - Top Five Mobile Threats; and Risk Management – Detecting the malicious insider (and those masquerading as malicious insiders). For 2015, NYMJCSC is offering a pre-conference workshop on Tuesday, October 13th featuring four in-depth full-day hands-on classroom-style educational courses to expand your knowledge and foster security discussions.  Seating is limited 30 per class, certain classes are hands-on and require BYOD.
