UC Irvine Ayala School Of Biological Sciences Offers New Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program


IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of California, Irvine, Ayala School of Biological Sciences  in partnership with the School of Physical Sciences offers for the first time the UCI Ayala School of Biological Sciences Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program designed for students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in a non-science discipline and are now seeking a postbaccalaureate program that will help them complete the required basic core courses for pre-medical and other allied health professions admission. Designed for career changers, this full-time, two-year program provides students with the necessary academic preparation to excel in a health professional curriculum. Competitive applicants will be invited for interviews – with notification of admission status via email expected within two to six weeks from interview date.

The two-year cohort program, which is equivalent to eight quarters, including two summer sessions, creates a unique, individualized, and personal experience through the availability of personalized advising, counseling services, professional development seminars, free tutoring, and accessibility to more than 230 research opportunities under the guidance of distinguished faculty. The curriculum is designed for students to be adequately equipped for a smooth and successful transition into health professional programs.
