In Dream and Innovation We Believe--BAIC BJEV North America Technical Innovation Strategy released

DETROIT, Sept. 26, 2016 /CNW/ -- China is going global, and the world is coming to China. The American Electric Vehicle Industry High-level Talents Conference hosted by BAIC BJEV held recently in Silicon Valley and Detroit drew wide attention. About 100 famous experts and scholars from Berkeley Lab, NACSAE and Stanford University were present.

At the conference, BAIC BJEV General Manager Zheng Gang delivered a speech "In Dream and Innovation We Believe" and eleased North America technical innovation strategy: two overseas R&D centers of Silicon Valley and Detroit will respectively concentrate on R&D and application of intelligent network connection technology and next-generation electric drive system technology. During 2016 and 2017, twenty technical innovation projects including introduction and product application of automatic driving technology, man-less driving platform intelligence, pre-research and application of next-generation driving control technology.

To build worldwide R&D layout and advance technical innovation strategy is an important link of the strategic goal of becoming one world-class technical innovation center and electric vehicle enterprise in the "13th Five-year Plan", and the comprehensive implementation of technical strategy of Hummingbird Program in ten years. The Program covers four cutting-edge auto fields including "e-Motion Design", "e-Motion Drive", "LighTech" and "i-Link". BAIC BJEV has completed R&D layout in seven places such as American Silicon Valley and Detroit, German Aachen and Dresden, Spanish Barcelona, Japanese Tokyo and Italian Turin.
