Maker.io Solidifies Digi-Key's Maker to Market Offerings at World Maker Faire New York


THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn., Sept. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- During World Maker Faire New York October 1- 2, Digi-Key Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, and it's maker tool, Maker.io will be exhibiting the latest technologies from maker-friendly suppliers such as Adafruit, SparkFun, and SEEED Studios. The company will also be sponsoring the Maker to Market stage where close to 30 visionaries will present sessions sharing their expertise on taking designs from Maker to Market.

Digi-Key will also be announcing a partnership with TechShop where certain projects from the Maker.io website will be turned into an educational course that will be offered at TechShops across the country.  The program called "tryIt@TechShop" is a great opportunity for Makers, Maker Professionals and Professional Engineers o get hands-on experience with today's most relevant technology products and solutions.

In addition, Digi-Key will be highlighting the Maker.io video series, Maker to Market, conducted in conjunction with Adafruit Industries.  The series of 10 videos follows Ladyada, Limor Fried, through all stages of the design roadmap highlighted on the Maker.io website from concept through design and production all the way to distribution and support as she brings the Circuit Playground design to life.
