Texas Leadership Charter Academy Students to Rally for School Choice

Students, parents and teachers at the Texas Leadership Charter Academy Arlington will voice their support for school choice with an all-school pep rally featuring a high-energy choreographed dance to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling."

The pep rally starts at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, January 23 at the K-2 Building, 1950 NE Green Oaks Boulevard.

Texas Leadership Charter Academy is a public charter school serving 550 students in grades K - 8.

The goal of the event is to celebrate great education choices in Texas and raise awareness among parents about school choice. The celebration is timed to take place right before National School Choice Week (January 22-28, 2017), which will feature more than 21,000 events across the country.

"Here at TLC we are creating future leaders. We know that being a good leader is a choice and we are grateful that our students CHOOSE to be here with us! We want to honor and celebrate that choice by hosting a pep rally for our amazing students and community during National School Choice Week," said Brooke Morrison, K-2 Principal.

Held every January, National School Choice Week is an independent public awareness effort designed to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for every child. Through more than 21,000 independently planned events across the country, National School Choice Week raises public awareness of all types of educational choices available to children. These options include traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, online learning, private schools, and homeschooling.
