Decisiv Continues Revolutionizing Industrial IoT Service Event Management For Commercial Assets

GLEN ALLEN, Va., Jan. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Decisiv, Inc., the leader in Service Relationship Management (SRM) and provider of the first Industrial IoT PaaS solution for commercial asset service management, announced today several key new hires and associated organizational changes to further enhance its platform.

After concluding the most successful year in the company’s 15-year history, including major announcements of new customers including Peterbilt Motors Company, Kenworth Truck Company and Hino Trucks as well as a multi-year renewal of existing contracts with Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks, Decisiv is further enhancing its leadership position by accelerating the development of its Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution.

“To meet the evolving needs of the North America commercial vehicle market, we have committed several million dollars toward the transformation of our technology from a Software-as-a-Service to a Platform-as-a-Service application,” said Dick Hyatt, President and CEO of Decisiv. “Our expanding ecosystem of partners and unique SRM Industrial IoT platform ensures that our customers will continue to enjoy vast improvements in asset utilization and reduce life cycle service costs.”

With on-going investments into the core PaaS platform, David Asch, VP PaaS Infrastructure Development, will continue to lead engineering and core platform development efforts at Decisiv. His team will be complemented with the creation of a new Platform Services group. The Platform Services group will focus on the customization of the user experience based on specific market and customer needs, as well as integrating the Decisiv platform with leading commercial asset maintenance and repair services, Industrial IoT applications and other 3rd party content.

“Our organizational changes will enable key product enhancements to provide our customers with highly conigurable, differentiated and brandable user experiences, access to developer tools and APIs for custom development and integration, enhanced Industrial IoT integrations, and simplified deployments,” Hyatt added. “They will also enable faster migration to new commercial asset segments, including power generation, construction, marine, agriculture and heavy equipment.”

Kim MacCormack has joined Decisiv as VP Platform Services Development and will be responsible for leading the team developing technical solutions to deliver customer and partner-specific applications, user interfaces and integrations with the SRM platform.

MacCormack brings to Decisiv over 20 years of software engineering and management experience with applications for various commercial, non-profit and government clients. Previously, she was Director of Engineering, New Initiatives at LivingSocial, an online marketplace, served as Software Architect for IBM SmartCloud Application Services, and was President and Founder of a local software consultancy.

“I am very excited to join an already successful team and use my extensive experience to help drive customer and market specific product development and integration,” MacCormack said. “I look forward to building an exceptional team that can fully leverage Decisiv’s PaaS capabilities.”

Pete Russo will move from his current responsibilities as VP Delivery Services to lead customer application development and integration engagements as VP Platform Services Delivery.

“I am looking forward to playing a key role in the next step of Decisiv’s evolution to a Platform-as-a-Service,” Russo said. “Our customers and partners have unique application and integration requirements, and our new approach will enable us to more quickly satisfy those unique needs while continuing to develop our industry-leading platform.”

With Russo moving roles, Joe McElhaney has been hired as Vice President, Customer Services and will be responsible for customer support and delivery services. Previously, McElhaney led commercial and government professional services organizations, specializing in Delivery Excellence and Customer Success at companies such as MicroStrategy, a provider of enterprise analytics and mobility software, and most recently for Strajillion, a SaaS platform for social media monitoring.

“My background and experiences in professional services and customer success will help refine implementation, adoption and time to value for Decisiv customers,” McElhaney said. “I am very excited to work with the team at Decisiv to help our customers fully leverage the power and value of Service Relationship Management technology.”
