Fandromeda Launches Fan Gangs to Become India's First Sports Social Network

BANGALORE, February 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

Fantasy sports are becoming a rage in India with numerous free and paid options for fans, but all sites involve playing with anonymous strangers. The official leagues do allow users to form groups but only when playing the season-long championship mode. People who prefer daily games have had no options to play with friends.

This has changed with the introduction of Fan Gangs by fandromeda.com. Now users can form their gags, and the gang decides which daily events they want to play. They can even choose to play for prize money.

When asked for the strategy behind Fan Gangs, Ramesh Srivats, CEO of Fandromeda said, "When we used to run the Official IPL Fantasy League, we noticed that most users preferred playing in small groups - an office league, an alumni league or just a bunch of friends. We felt that this social aspect of fantasy sports has been missing in daily games. So, we launched Fan Gangs. We see Fan Gangs as the first step towards creating a sports social network. You can not only play fantasy sports with friends, but can also compare your skills with leaderboards, and trash-talk on the chat."

About Fandromeda:

Fandromeda was launched in March 2016 by TenTenTen Digital Products , the company that had created the popular Official IPL Fantasy League. In less than a year, the site has run over 700 fantasy events, with nearly 1.2 million fantasy squads created and Rs. 15 lakhs distributed in prize money.
