Poll Everywhere Redesigns the Audience Interaction Palette

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Poll Everywhere released a completely redesigned audience participation dashboard for the first time in five years. It was built to accommodate the inventive ways customers use the audience response system in live events.

Creative uses of real-time polling, including crowdsourced word clouds, instant Q&A sessions, and clickable images, are gaining popularity among Poll Everywhere presenters. They have become a staple of town halls, all-hands meetings, college classrooms, and corporate training modules.

Notable examples include The Georgia Chamber of Commerce, which uses Poll Everywhere in a series of townhall-style meetings to quickly gather feedback from hundreds of participants at a time.

Blinds.com uses Poll Everywhere Q&A sessions to power company-wide "Ask the CEO" events. The PowerPoint-embedded Q&A serves to increase transparency and give workers a voice.

Dr. Vikas Shah uses X-rays as clickable images to teach diagnostics. "I find that there is universal engagement in the quizzes, and it creates a real buzz among the students," Shah reported.

The new poll creation dashboard was built with presenters like Shah in mind. It eliminates barriers between idea and result, and creates new ways for presenters to interact with the audience live, in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or on the web.

To complement the dashboard, a new importer tool allows presenters to drop a CSV file full of questions into the new creator. Those questions instantly become a library of interactions to encourage dialogue between the presenter and the audience.

"We've gone beyond simply adding live charts to presentations. Now companies design their town halls and events around engagement," Poll Everywhere co-founder Jeff Vyduna said. "The new dashboard reflects the creativity we see in our customers, and the trust they put in us to suggest activities that make their presentations come to life."
