Classy Awards 100 Finalists Showcase the Best in Social Innovation


Classy, the world's leading mobile and online fundraising platform, announced the 100 finalists for the annual Classy Awards. The Classy Awards, the culminating event of the Collaborative, recognizes the most innovative nonprofits and social enterprises addressing our greatest social problems. The Collaborative is a three-day experience that brings together top social innovators from around the world and takes place this year June 13 to 15 in Boston's Innovation District.

This year's nomination pool addressed hundreds of social issues from around the world, including animal and wildlife welfare, disaster relief and public safety, education advancement, environmental protection, health services, human rights and social justice, and poverty and hunger relief.

To be eligible, programs must address a social problem, have at least one year of measurable results, and have an office or headquarters in the U.S. or Canada. All applications required a 360-degree summary of programmatic performance, and were put through a rigorous evaluation process based on the following selection criteria: scale, scope and leadership expertise of the problem being addressed, innovative approach, ability to solve the problem, and organizational effectiveness and resource management.

Classy Awards Finalists will now be evaluated by the Leadership Council, an honorary board of top experts and executives from across the social sector who democratically determine the Classy Awards Winners. The 10 winners will be announced onstage at the Classy Awards Ceremony, a part of the three-day Collaborative in Boston, June 13 to 15, 2017.
