What Embedded and IoT Developers Think About IoT Security: A Look at the Embedded Computing Design and TCG Survey

Stacy Cannady, Cisco Systems and Trusted Computing Group (TCG), and Richard Nass, Embedded Computing Design/OpenSystems (News - Alert) Media, will host a webcast Monday, April 24, 10 a.m. Pacific/1:00 p.m. Eastern to talk about the hottest issue today in the IoT and embedded design: security.

Embedded Computing Design (News - Alert) and TCG conducted an Internet of Things (IoT) Security Survey January to February 2017 to get input on security. The webcast will look at the results from this survey, which indicates how designers perceive security, whether they're including security in their designs, challenges to embedded and IoT security, and their awareness and use of the TPM.

Speakers also will talk about trending security issues and offer some specific examples of security implementations for the unique requirements of embedded and IoT devices and systems.

Richard Nass, executive vice president, brand director, Embedded Franchise, Open Systems (News - Alert) Media, has responsibilities for setting the direction for Open Systems Media's Embedded Computing Design, Embedded University, IoT Design, and various other print, online, and live events.

p> Stacy Cannady, CISSP, is technical marketing for the Trustworthy Computing TRIAD (Threat Response, Intelligence, and Development) for Cisco (News - Alert) Systems and a member of the Trusted Computing Group's Embedded Systems Work Group and treasurer of the organization. He has worked in the field of trusted computing for a number of years. As a subject matter expert in trusted computing, his responsibilities require an in-depth understanding of the trusted computing market, including advances in hardware and software security as well as vendor and customer market dynamics.

A report of the survey results will be made available to webcast registrants. Register here: https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/7423/250823?utm_source=Trusted+Computing+Group&utm_medium=brighttalk&utm_campaign=250823
