Mitchell Friedman (Photo: Business Wire) Mitchell Friedman joins Ankura with more than 35 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing, internal controls, remediation, and root cause analysis. He has successfully overseen a broad range of expert and consulting services involving accounting and audit advisory, investigation, and internal control related matters. Prior to joining Ankura, Mr. Friedman served as Associate Director and Global Team Leader for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) in the Division of Registration and Inspections. While there,he was responsible for leading all aspects of the global inspection of domestic and foreign member firms of a Big Four Accounting Firm's Global Network. In this role, he coordinated closely with foreign audit and securities regulators from around the world. In addition, he worked closely with both the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC (News - Alert)) Office of Chief Accountant (OCA) and the PCAOB's Office of the Chief Auditor as well as the Division of Enforcement and Investigations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Friedman was an audit partner for a Big 4 accounting firm. In this role, he led audit engagements with large publicly held companies. His client portfolio included consumer and industrial, software, food, and agriculture companies. He assisted companies in preparation for public offerings, recapitalizations, and joint ventures, as well as worked with law firms on investigation and litigation issues.
