Arizona Technology Council Announces New Employees in Its Phoenix and Tucson Offices


Working to continually help its members succeed, the Arizona Technology Council has hired new employees in both its Phoenix and Tucson offices. Lauren Witte is now serving as the Council's marketing and communications manager while Linda Surovick has assumed the role of finance and administration director. Both are based at the Council's headquarters in Phoenix. Representing the rapidly growing Southern Arizona region, Alison Boelts now serves as the Council's operations and events manager in Tucson.

"Lauren, Linda and Alison are experts in their respective fields and strong additions to our team," said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council. "The vast range of experience they bring to the Council is invaluable as we continue on our journey of making Arizona the fastest growing tech hub in the nation."

The biographies of the new Council staff members are:

Lauren Witte, Marketing and Communications Manager
Witte brings a wealth of marketing and communications talent. Prior to joining the Council, Witte held the position of brand manager for Scottsdale-based real estate development firm Deco Communities. Prior to that, she was the associate director of marketing and client relations at the law firm JacksonWhite in Mesa. Witte also is a member of the One Community Multicultural Advisory Board (MAB), co-chair of the One Community Millennial Multicultura Advisory Board (MiMAB) and partnership co-chair for the Phoenix chapter of Girls in Tech. She currently resides in Phoenix with her fiancé, Ian, and their corgi, Conan.



Linda Surovick, Finance and Administration Director
Surovick joins the Council after serving 23 years as president and founder of AHNE, a boutique association management company focused on technology, industry best practices and innovation for small- to medium-size associations. Prior to starting AHNE, she held positions as agency director of operations for CIGNA Financial Advisors, Inc. and assistant vice president for the Bank of Boston Corporation. Surovick is a cum laude graduate of Northwood University in Midland, Mich., where she received her Bachelor of Arts in economics. Surovick recently moved to Chandler from Dedham, Mass., with her son, Edward, and their two dogs. Edward plans to attend Purdue University (News - Alert) in the fall.

Alison Boelts, Operations and Events Manager
Boelts, a native Tucsonan, has served the community for many years as a marketing and event expert working for nonprofit organizations and locally owned companies in advertising and finance. As a freelance consultant, Boelts worked on local rollouts of national corporate campaigns for Radio Shack, Global Solar and CarMax, and produced several nonprofit fundraisers benefiting the Tucson Girls Chorus, Arizona Greyhound Rescue, ORTS Theater of Dance and the Empire Ranch Foundation.
