Sheryl Chamberlain Joins Linux Foundation as Chief of StaffSAN FRANCISCO, May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today announced that Sheryl Chamberlain has joined as Chief of Staff. She will be responsible for overseeing operational activities for The Linux Foundation and will be the point of contact between executive management and stakeholders in its numerous influential open source projects. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Chamberlain was a Partner Vice President in Capgemini Group Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships leading alliance strategies and overseeing execution of go-to-market activities with Dell Technologies. She began her career in finance with a succession of increasingly higher level positions at Deloitte, Norton Simon (now Beatrice Foods) and PepsiCo Bottling. Prior to joining Capgemini, Ms. Chamberlain worked at EMC in a variety of roles, including COO Corporate Office of the CTO. Her leadership has been recognized in winning Dallas Business Journal Women in Technology Award, EMC Global Innovation Partner of the Year, the California YWCA Tribute to Women Award and the Diversity Council's Leadership and Diversity Award. Ms. Chamberlain is a member of the Alliance of Chef Executives, an Advisor to the Dallas Entrepreneur Center and a MassChallenge Accelerator Mentor. She was on the Board of Silicon Valley Association for Corporate Growth, is on the Diversity Advisory Board for the Cloud Foundry Foundation and is the Chair of the Hult Prize Foundation Council.
