LADB First Post-Production Service Certified under ISO 22301

LADB has been certified to the international business continuity management standard ISO 22301. LADB is the first, and only, post-production service company to be certified under ISO 22301 and the voluntary Private Sector Preparedness Program (PS-Prep).

LADB is also the only post-production company worldwide to have these three ISO certifications. Implementation assists in the operations and management of the core business of providing post-production services to clients whose content is tracked from hand off to hand back. "LADB is under audit almost every three months and like a Factory Formula One Race team almost constantly being finely tuned. LADB is a unique and a terrific best practice operating environment," said Robert Seidenglanz, LADB's CEO.

ISO 22301: Business continuity management

ISO 22301 provides a framework to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain, and continually improve a business continuity management system. ISO 22301 falls under the Societal Security category of ISO standards and was created to be a business-led contingency planning and disaster recovery standard to mitigate the effects of disruptive incidents on society - from large scale natural disasters to technology-related incidents and environmental accidents. Using models from several countries, including Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States, public and private sector stakeholders came together to create ISO 22301.

PS-Prep as complement to ISO 22301: Disaster and emergency preparedness

PS-Prep is a partnership between the Department of Homeland Security and the private sector that lets private businesses demonstrate their capabilities to plan for, respond to, and recover from disasters and other emergencies.

"With our decades in business plus our new certification, ISO 22301 is LADB's proof that we are serious about our clients Content Protection (ISO 27001), Quality (ISO 9001), and Continuity Assurance (ISO 22301)," said Eric Collins, President of LADB. "We're proud to be the first post-production company to secure certification under the new ISO standard."

"LADB's existing certifications provide independent validation that the organization is in compliance with recognized industry and international standards through monitoring, measuring, and continual improvement. ISO 27001 and CDSA certifications address content security through implementation of a suite of technical and procedural content protection controls. ISO 9001 certification addresses quality of service delivery through implementation of production controls that ensure consistency in service delivery. Although both ISO 27001 and CDSA address business continuity, their focus is on the continuity and recoverability of content security controls. ISO 9001 addresses business continuity through vendor management and alternate suppliers. ISO 22301 complements these other standards by bringing a whole new level of detail, now focused exclusively on proactive Business Continuity planning and reactive Disaster Recovery procedures on an enterprise-wide scope. Risks that are addressed range from routine maintenance to complete recovery from catastrophic events," said Tom Carlson LADB's ISO Manager.
