Vizient, Inc. Concerned about AHCA's Congressional Budget Office Score, Urges Senate to Improve Coverage

Vizient, Inc. continues to have concerns with the current draft of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) and is pleased that the Senate is looking to industry stakeholders for constructive feedback on ways to improve health care access and affordability in America.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its report that reinforces the expectation that the AHCA would lead to dramatic reductions in health care insurance coverage, thus putting an increasing strain on our member institutions. It is critical that the U.S. Senate consider these impacts as they draft their own legislation. On behalf of the provider members we serve, Vizient recently provided the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance with our priorities regarding the future of health care in America, and we urge the Senate to consider and mitigate how a rise in the uninsured could affect patients, hospitals and communities throughout the country.

Vizient is the nation's largest health care performance improvement company serving a diverse membership that includes academic edical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health care delivery networks and non-acute health care providers.
