EUISSCA Requests Public Comment on New Construction Services Voluntary Standard

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Utility construction providers and purchasers will have 30 days to contribute to an important new voluntary set of standards designed to help make the construction and refurbishment of utility facilities nationwide more sustainable.

The Construction Services voluntary standard has been developed by the Alliance to support utilities with identifying sustainable practices in the area of Construction Services. It is based on successful practices compiled by Alliance members and is made up of the following parts: definition of Construction Services; Key Drivers; Key Opportunities; Implementation Guidance; and practices in the areas of Jobsite Repackaging, Recycling and Waste, and Materials Handling.

The document will be available for public comment via our website between July 20 and August 20, 2017. We appreciate your input and feedback on the newest voluntary standard.

Access to review the voluntary standard is open to members and non-members. Click here to read and/or download the document.

The Alliance will be continually expanding on the practices and details in this document based on member and non-member utilities experiences. The Alliance welcomes and invites feedback and additional insights, which will be used to improve and add to the list of practices and guidance in the detailed tables in this document. Please contact the Alliance directly at [email protected]
