Nokia Predictive Care boosts fixed access network performance and availability
18 October 2017 Espoo, Finland - Nokia today announced Predictive Care for its Fixed Networks portfolio, establishing a new network care model with automated predictive network support powered by Nokia AVA. Cloud connectivity for a trillion things (IoT) is driving service providers to support enlarged and diverse ecosystems with high levels of service performance, with near 100% network availability essential in the very near future. Fixed access networks provide a critical entry point to connect end users, businesses and things to the service provider's broadband network, so traditional reactive support approaches will be insufficient. Nokia Predictive Care for fixed networks, enabled by powerful analytical tools and an expert care team, ensures high network availability and performance by addressing potential network problems before they impact service quality. Nokia is deploying Predictive Care with five customers today, amongst which ETB in Columbia. Federico Guillén, president of Nokia's Fixed Networks Business Group, said: "With Predictive Care, we offer our customers today the perfect solution to improve network quality, building on our experience with hundreds of customers worldwide. Predictive Care is even bound to grow in importance, as networks evolve to more virtualization, and open interfaces and data models will provide more insight on diagnostics data more easily, across systems and networks, which will further improve the accuracy of predictive analytics. With our strong position in fixed access, our experience, and the powerful and proven analytics and automation capabilities of the Nokia AVA platform, we have every intention of taking the lead in defining the future of fixed access network care." Predictive Care is a key part of Nokia's Intelligent Access vision. Nokia will showcase its Predictive Care offering at the Nokia Booth E104 at the Broadband World Forum in Berlin, October 24-26.
