Blackhawk Network Names Charles O. Garner Chief Financial Officer

PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc., a global financial technology company ("Blackhawk"), announced today that Charles O. Garner, CFA, has been appointed chief financial officer. Garner will succeed Jerry Ulrich as Blackhawk's CFO, while Ulrich will continue to serve as the company's chief administrative officer until he retires after a transition period with Garner.

Garner is a seasoned executive with deep experience in both finance and operations. Previously, he served as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Zelis Healthcare Corp., a healthcare information technology and electronic payments company. Prior to that, Garner held various leadership roles at MedAssets, Inc., a publicly-traded healthcare technology solutions provider, including chief financial officer, chief strategy and transformation officer and head of corporate development. Before joining MedAssets, Garner held management positions at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Bain & Company and American Management Systems (now CGI).
