CAGW Statement on FCC Internet Freedom RulemakingToday, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) President Tom Schatz released a statement following the Federal Communications Commission (FCC (News - Alert)) announcement that it will be considering the Restoring Internet Freedom rulemaking at its December meeting: "We are pleased that the FCC is taking this critical step to remove the antiquated, depression-era regulations over the internet that were imposed in February 2015 under former FCC chairman Tom Wheeler (News - Alert). The transparency in this proceeding is a welcome change from previous FCC procsses, and we look forward to reviewing the final order prior to the vote at the FCC.
