"It's truly remarkable to consider that AHF originated from a small group of activists who came together to fight a dangerous attempt to quarantine AIDS patients in Los Angeles and has now grown to be the world's largest AIDS organization today with over 820,000 individuals in 39 countries," said AHF President Michael Weinstein. "As we near our next major milestone of having one million men, women and children in our care worldwide, we call upon the U.S. and foreign governments to keep the promise to combat and end the global AIDS epidemic. With millions of lives potentially at stake, I am confident that the leadership of AHF's domestic and global programs has the capability, and the will, to keep breaking international barriers and extending our reach into even more countries and communities around the world."

AHF provides medical care and services in nearly 300 global clinics in 39 other countries including:

THE AMERICAS-11 countries, including: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru (as well as the previously cited United States).
