EARNEST Partners Nominated for Domestic-Stock Fund Manager of the Year by Morningstar

EARNEST Partners is a nominee for Morningstar's 2017 Domestic-Stock Fund Manager of the Year award. The basis for the nomination includes not only performance, but consistency and a shareholder first mentality. Morningstar quotes, "Although it has been hard for active managers to beat U.S. stock indexes in recent years, these managers' rigorous research, time-tested processes, and investment skill have set them apart in today's market."

EARNEST Partners is not a newcomer to receiving awards. In 2013, Pensions & Investments magazine ranked the EARNEST Partners Emerging Markets Composite its number 3 top-performer (by 5-year return) in the emerging markets asset class in its annual Top-Performing Managers report. Its Mid Cap Core strategy and its Mid Cap Value strategy were also named the Mid Cap Equity Award Winner in the Separately Managed Account (SMA (News - Alert)) Managers of the Year Awards by Envestnet and Investment Advisor magazine in 2013 and 2016, respectively.

Paul Viera, EARNEST Partners' CEO, commented on the latest news from Morningstar, "We apply the same process to all of our strategies-small cap, mid cap, international and emerging markets. Our record shows that if you have a consistent method for screening companies, and a diverse set of views well-versed in the various industries, you can produce quality results over time. We are honored to be nominated, but remain focused on what we can do to help our clients going forward."
