Razberi CameraDefense Earns SIA New Product Showcase Award for Cybersecurity

Razberi CameraDefensewon the 2018 Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase Award for cybersecurity, announced this month during ISC West in Las Vegas. The sole winner in the competition's new cybersecurity category, CameraDefense guards video surveillance ecosystems by hardening IP cameras and IoT devices automatically, protecting the video management system (VMS), and monitoring for cyber threats.

According to SIA, the New Product Showcase is a trusted and valued source for security professionals seeking information on the latest products and technologies. SIA added the cybersecurity category this year to recognize "Software applications, utilities, or hardware designed to promote the security of security by reducing vulnerabilities to cyber security breaches or failures in logical security measures."

"The convergence of physical and cybersecurity was thankfully a big topic at ISC West this year, which makes this SIA NPS award even more special for Razberi," said Tom Galvin, Razberi CEO. "As organizations continue to add cameras, access control readers, and other IoT end points, their corporate networks become more vulnerable to cyber attacks. We created CameraDefense to give our customers the power to secure and manage their security systems no matter where their connected devices reside."

Using the Razberi CameraDefense software solution, security pros can consistently deploy and maintin cybersecurity protections with no additional firewall products or special expertise required. Embedded in Razberi video surveillance appliances, CameraDefense is part of a secure architecture that hardens cameras automatically, isolates the camera network, and proactively alerts customers to cyber threats. Integrated CylancePROTECT® virus and malware software guard the VMS by predicting known and unknown attacks to proactively prevent malware execution.

"The SIA New Product Showcase challenges our industry's solutions developers to create and deliver exceptional security offerings, and this year we saw many new entrants competing in the showcase," said SIA CEO Don Erickson. "It's always a highly competitive program, and I congratulate Razberi for distinguishing itself."

This year's New Product Showcase received 122 entries from small, medium and large companies in the security industry, which set a record for entrants in recent years. The judges presented awards in 29 product and service categories.
