Mark Comerford Elected Chairman of Global Advanced Metals


Global Advanced Metals Pty Ltd ("GAM"), a leading producer of tantalum and niobium products, announced that Mark Comerford was recently elected by the Board of Directors to serve as its Chairman, succeeding James McClements, co-founder and Managing Partner of Resource Capital Funds ("RCF"). RCF is the principal shareholder in GAM, and Mr. McClements will remain on the board as a director.

Andrew O'Donovan, Managing Director and CEO of GAM, commented: "We would like to express our sincerest thanks to James for his and RCF's ongoing commitment and support. Mark has added great value since joining our Board in 2014 and I am delighted that he has accepted the role of Chairman. Mark, along with all of the Board and the management team, will continue to steer GAM along its path of technological leadership in products for electronic and other critical aplications at our manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Japan, the development of additive manufacturing capability for tantalum and other metals, and the development of large-scale, long-term, stable tantalum raw material supply from GAM's mine assets in Western Australia." Mr. Comerford is a 34-year veteran of the specialty metals industry, having most recently served as President & CEO and Director of Haynes International Inc. (Nasdaq: HAYN), a manufacturer of nickel-based and cobalt-based alloys for the aerospace, chemical, and energy industries.
