PITTSBURGH, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "I thought that modern technology could be put to good use in safeguarding the environment," said an inventor from Clearwater, Fla. "One great way to do this is to lessen paper waste, which led me to develop a paper-less POS system. It also is great for maintaining a budget."

He developed the U.R.D. to eliminate the usage of paper for the printing of receipts at grocery and retail stores. This protects the environment by reducing paper waste. The system also enbles consumers to keep better track of their expenses, which helps with organizing and sticking to a budget. Additionally, the POS system allows for items to be returned or exchanged more easily. In the end, it will also allow easier and more accurate tax returns.
